Podcast strategy for De Standaard
The Goal of our podcast strategy
Last year, Mediahuis got funds from the Google Digital News Initiative. They used these funds to experiment with audio storytelling (podcast) at newspaper De Standaard. Their goal of our podcast strategy was to create extra touch points with their audience and to explore the future of news in a smart home.
Our Social Story
Pieter is the main audio expert and storyteller at Chase Creative. We did the audio consultancy for De Standaard in both the concept and research stage. We researched possible audio news formats and gave advice on storytelling and materials. Later on, we did test recordings and also helped with the recruitment of the podcast voices.
The result of our coöperation with De Standaard is that they were able to make faster decisions. In fact, they could skip the research stage altogether. This enabled them to focus fully on the creative side.
